Dress Code: The lack of Logic

Dress Code: The lack of Logic

I totally support a safe school, although I usually find it to be a bit of an illusion more than safety itself, standing next to a wall during a lock down doesn't seem like the smartest of ideas, but I don't argue...ok I'm lying but still. So I woke up this morning and decided to go to school, as usual in fact, and attached all my goodies, palm pilot, cell phone, mp3-player, and my wallet - pretty standard stuff. I get to school, one way or another, and on the way up to one of my favorite classes, Mrs. Huerta's Computer class; an “administrator” stopped me about my wallet. Let me explain, I have an aesthetic chain attached to my wallet, it really doesn't serve a whole lot of a purpose other than to just be there, seriously, and the administrator decided that this was in violation of the "dress code". Of coarse I thought this was total, well...I wont say what I thought other than to say that it wasn't pleasant. So with a quick unhinging of my chain, my wallet was no longer complete. I then had to take time out my day to go get the missing piece of my wallet back and afterward watch as to who sees this aesthetic chain. The main reason such a rule is in the dress code is the fact that it's a liability. I can understand this but the point should be made that if I were to beat someone with this chain, I already would have used it to beat the bloody crap out of the imbecile who stepped into my raging path of DOOOOMMM!!! Now I'm not hostile, by any means, even with the whole "DOOOOMMM!!!" thing and if I were on said raging path of DOOOOMMM!!! I wouldn't use my wallet, that takes time and I'm very much lazy, as well as I would then likely lose. I'd use something easily accessible, like a pen or pencil, or maybe a text book because those things a freaking heavy (one needs to be a world class bodybuilder to carry all the textbooks given). Regardless, the whole concept of a wallet chain being a liability is of concern but as stated before, no school is safe, it's an illusion. I propose a trust basis; as long as you don't have any raging paths of doom that otherwise use said chain of destruc..er...aesthetic chain you should be able to wear it, or at least use it to defend against the other imbeciles in your path, or using the chain for a path of...ok, fine, it has it's purpose, the dress code I mean, but it's just not cool for one such as I who is a good student and doesn't do anything...ever....at all...including things I should do...such as school work...and getting out of my house...hmm....
